Notes - Janike Balsersdotter Humborstad f. 21.sep 1861 i Nordfjord, Nordre Bergenhus. Døde 1. juli 1939 i Davik, Nordfjord, Sogn og Fjordane. Fra Humborstad til Bergen 0.5.1889. She lived in Bergen for some time. Met Mons, who was a "bøkker" and settled at Haugland under Berstad in Kjølsdalen.
Janike and Mons are at Haugland in 1900. Mons died in 1901. Janike married Anders Stordahl in North Dakota 1903.

Bought a small piece of good farmland, which supported a couple of cows, chickens etc. but probably no income. Janike and Albert H. must have brought a considerable amount of money back from USA. She built a new house, barn and other buildings, lived there for a number of years, travelled in Norway, Canada, etc.
1933/34: Janika came to Canada, where her husband, son and grandchildren lived. She didn't like it.
1935: Returned to Norway. She died during WWII. She lived with Anna for a few years.
