  Søstrene Calda og Gladys bodde hos "Halma" i Spring Hope town, Nash, North Carolina i 1900 census. I 1910 er Halma og ektemannen Dorsey Tisdale boende i Norfolk Ward 3, Norfolk (Independent City), Virginia. Hilma and Dorsey also had a couple of other children after Dorsey Jr., possibly a son named George and a daughter Elena. George may have died at birth. Elena died at about 2 years old, possibly of diptheria or other childhood disease. She married a second time to Wm. Herman Fitzhugh of Parkersburg, West Virginia. They had no children together and lived in Brooklyn, N.Y. where Herman worked at the shipyard and also in Norfolk, Virginia until her death. They are both buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, VA. Her tombstone gives her birthdate as January 13, 1882, the date is correct, but the correct year is 1880, according to official Norwegian records.
