  Came to Wisconsin in 1866. Mother and youngest brother died shortly after arrival, and three of the sons were left with neighbours in the area while father tried to make ends meet. Brothers Hans Mathias, Ole and Johan Anton all settled and married in Colfax, Dunn, Wisconsin.
