"Mrs. Ole J. Olson, an old resident of this locality, who has made her home about 1 1/2 miles east of town, died at Luther hospital in Eau Claire at 1:30 Tuesday, June 18, after an illness of long standing from diabetes. The deceased was born in Colfax on May 31, 1866, and was married to Ole J. Olson Oct. 27, 1885, and to them were born 13 children, 11 living and two dead. Those surviving are: Emma, now Mrs. Gerhart Berntson of Cumberland; Bertha, now Mrs. Oscar Semingson of Colfax; Mrs. Palma Christenson, Colfax; Luella, now Mrs. Oscar Stockland, Colfax; Hilda, now Mrs. Chris Gjertson, and Bennie, both in Canada; Oscar and James in Cumberland; Eddie and Selmer, in Colfax; and Richard, whose address is unknown. Besides her husband, there are five sisters and three brothers who survive. The funeral service was held from the Norwegian Lutheran church Saturday at 2 p.m., Rev. Chr. S. Thompson officiating. Interment was in the village cemetery. The following relatives and friends from out of town were present at the funeral service: Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Erickson, of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Halen, Mrs. ole Seevrtson, Mrs. H. H. Anderson of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Larson of Frederic; Mr. and Mrs. John Prince, Mrs. Stark, Pete Olson and Ed. Christoferson of Rice Lake; Mrs. Arthur Mason of Eau Claire; Oscar and James Olson, Mrs. Gerhart Berntson and children and Charles Zahn, all of Cumberland; and Ben Olson of Canada."
