Obituary:
On Tuesday night, December 26, 1882, at 10 o'clock, of Consumption,
Mrs. Arvilla D. McAffee, age . 36 years, 9 months and 6 days. Mrs. McAffee was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Watters, both now deceased, who were among the oldest settlers in this region, and the wife of Mr. Joseph McAffee, to whom she was married 17 years and 1 day. She leaves behind her a family of five children to mourn her loss. The funeral services were held in the Dalton Presbyterian church and the interment took place in the cemetery of that village. Mr. McAffee has the sympathy of all in his sorrow and bereavement. We can only commend him to the Father's care who knoweth all things and who has promised that "all things shall work together for good to them that Iove the Lord."
