Boone Co. MO microfilm Columbia Statesman April 3, 1863 page 2 column 5 Fayette Advertizer: An old citizen dead. Mr. George P. Bass died at his residence, about 8 miles southwest of Fayette, on the 22nd last of influenza. He was about 60 years of age and had been a resident of Howard county about 30 years. He was highly esteemed by all who knew him.


George married Susanna M. Wiseman, daughter of James Wiseman and Mary Carr Tuttle, on 29 Jan 1829 in Boone, Missouri, USA. (Susanna M. Wiseman was born on 15 Dec 1809 in Madison County, Kentucky, USA, died on 13 Aug 1894 in Boone County, Missouri and was buried in Salem Cemetery, Boone, Missouri.)
