Approx 1862 Hans and brother Arent with families and parents left Lindås and bought farms Malme and Mælsæther in Vågøy, Fræna, Møre og Romsdal. Both brothers died 1 February 1867, and by the 1900-census there was no one by that last name left in the Fræna parish.
Hans Hanson Selliken, son of Hans, was a ship captain (skipper) living in Haugesund when his mother Elisa Torvaldina died in 1917, she was living with him.

Hans married Elisa Torvaldina Hauge on 3 Aug 1859 in Austrheim. (Elisa Torvaldina Hauge was born in 1838 in Hadsel, Nordland, died on 25 Jan 1917 in Hasseløen, Haugesund and was buried on 1 Feb 1917.)
