Enlisted Aug 15 1812 to discharge Mar 3 1813. Did his military service in Kentucky.
Married Lydia Holland in Kentucky 1816.
1820 census has him reciding on South Side of Licking River, Harrison, Kentucky. Himself a free white male over 26, his wife a free white female under 25 and two daughters under 10.
1 May 1826 he secured land in Pike, Missouri at the Palmyra land office, and more land there on 8 Jun 1833, in township 53-N.
1830 in Pike Missouri, six children, two boys, four girls and two female slaves, one over and one under 10.
1840 in Pike, Missouri. One son under 5, one 5-9, one 10-14, two daughters under 5, one 5-9, one 10-14, two 15-19, one 20-29, four slaves, two males under 10 and two females. Of these were five people working in agriculture.
Married Meducy Ann Edwards (b. 1807 or 1818?) on 17 Aug 1845.

Generelle notater: Hustru - Meducy Ann Edwards
Her last will was X'ed by her on June 28th, 1888 in the County of Pike, Missouri. After debts were paid she left her real estate in the City of Clarksville to her nephew Admision J. McCune of Louisiana, Missouri for him as executor of her last will and testament. McCune was to pay her son a gift from her at the sum of One Hundred Dollars.
She left all of her household and personal property to her son.
In the 1870 census her son John J was living with her in Calumet, Pike, Missouri, so was his wife Mary E. Anderson, born abt 1851-52 in Virginia. The three of them also lived together in the 1880 census.
