Budde nokre år i Bergen og seinare på Hop, Askøy før dei kjøpte Nedre Fyllingen i 1755. Dei nye eigarane møtte mange vanskar den fyrste tida, mellom anna brann alle gardshusa ned natt til 7. september 1763. Avlinga og alt innbuet gjekk tapt, og sjølve fekk Anders og kona brannsår då dei berga ut barna. Fire år seinare var dei på nytt ute i hardt vær, dette fordi Anders hadde banna og skjelt ut futen på tinget. Grunnen var at Anders meinte futen hadde lurt han og tatt for mykje i skatt. Futen stemna Anders for tinget og meinte han skulle betale 120 lodd sølv i bot og 40 Rdl. i sakskostnader. Heldigvis for Anders var ikkje retten heilt samnd med futen, og han blei dømt til å gjere "afbigt" for futen og ilagt 20 Rdl i sakskostnader. Anders og familien klarte seg likevel godt, og i 1783 delte han garden mellom to av sønene. Etterkomarane deira bur framleis på Lynghaugen og Lauvåsen. Fana bygdebok IV, s. 152.
